Ms. Gwendolyn Reid Simmons, 49, resident of Selma, passed away September 8, 2014 at Baptist South Hospital, Montgomery. Services will be held Saturday September 2013, 1:00 p.m. at New Center Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Cecil Nix. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery directed by Randall Miller Funeral Service.

Survivors include parent Richard Gould; son, Reginald Bernard Simmons, Jr.; two daughters, Shemeka Reid and RaQuia Reid; brother, Joseph Lee Harris, Jr.; two grandchildren; two aunts, Mamie Hardy and Barbara Oliver. Pallbearers will be family, friends, and classmates.
