Allen Mitchell, age 87, of Sprott, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Mildred Mitchell; parents: Judge and Emma Mitchell; brother: Willie Lee Mitchell, Frank Mitchell; sisters: Elenor Butler, Fran Tharp, Gert Lusk, Vera Williams; and grandson: Peter E. Paradies Jr.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his daughters: Elaine Harrison, Jean Payne (John); brother: Julius Mitchell; and sister: Jane McCoske.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Ocmulgee Baptist Church with Rev. Dannie Summerlin and Rev. Donald Harris officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Ocmulgee Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Pallbearers will be: Johnny Lusk, Ernie Lusk, Gary Wayon, John Hatfield, James Vogell, and Johnny Alexander.
