Thelma Burns Allen passed away July 3, 2014 at the age of 94.

She was born April 14, 1920 to the late Dr. and Mrs. William Wilkes Burns. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Paul Edward Allen and sisters, Marjory Burns and Jean Burns Johnson.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her son, Paul Edward Allen, Jr.; daughter, Marjory Allen (Jerome) Marvil; grandchildren, Ashley McCarty (Colin) Luke, William Loring (Elizabeth) McCarty III, Jennifer Allen (Driss) Moumane and Kendall Allen (Steve) Lentz; great-grandchildren, Catherine and Robert Luke, Caroline and Christopher McCarty, Nora and Tarik Moumane, Harper Kate and Emerson Lentz and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in New Live Oak Cemetery with Dr. Jerry Light officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
