System will be better for this state intervention

By the time God’s intervention and state takeover is concluded, I hope to see enormous improvement. There is no doubt the splendor and magnificence of our school system after shakeups will be greater than the former.

God’s utter peace is expected after divine shakeups. God is the one who empowered us to build one of the best high schools. Children are His favorites, education is His and progress is from Him. Certainly, His intervention will help us in our efforts to ensure that our kids need more than just beautiful buildings.

In the book of Haggai, God was so serious about giving His peace to a latter house that He proclaimed accordingly through a prophet, “I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land … the glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, said the Lord of hosts and in this place will I give peace, saith the lord of hosts.”

After God’s shakeups, the control of our school system will be favorable; intelligence will amalgamate with wisdom and understanding; partiality will diminish; the humble and the meek, rich and poor will be allowed to participate in the plan; student achievement will become top priority; similarly, conducive learning environment will be top priority; unanimous votes on critical issues that promote growth and safety for all in the system will become a norm for the school board; parents will be allowed to participate fully in matters affecting their children; and collaboration with stakeholders will reign supreme.

My observation and opinion is that Selma and the Selma City School System have lots of good people. However, having lots of good people is not satisfactory when they cannot work together for the common goal of the people. Having lots of good people becomes questionable when politics force people to turn against what is right for normal progress of a place or people.

City and business leaders, pastors, priests and prophets must advice, teach, preach and prophesy as God gives. We want to hear from you now more than ever. Takeover denotes an utter leadership deficiency. God continuously talks to His people, in critical times, through leadership.

In the Old Testament, God talked to Joshua, who told His people what were needed to pull down the Jericho wall. Keys to the success were a leader heard from God and mobilized; obedience and unity.

Victory is looming but unity, love and obedience must manifest. We will continue to stick to our peaceful and progressive plans but consider that we’re also programmed, spiritually, to resist the devil when the enemy comes with tricks to destabilize or strike at the foundation of our stand or good positioning.

We flourish when we resist the devil.

Even after Jesus fasted 40 days and nights, the enemy showed up with tricks but Jesus was wise enough to respond in a manner that got the devil to leave him alone, and the angels showed up.

If we keep resisting wrong, no doubt, the angels will saturate this place; but look for no angels if the board continues to enjoy the comfort of a new board room and auditorium while the reasons for being board members sit helplessly at Knox beside buckets of dirty water.
