Lawrence Alvin Furlow

Lawrence Alvin Furlow, a resident of Radcliff, KY, formally of Selma, AL passed away July 1, 2013. He was born on September 13, 1951 in Camden, AL to Charles Furlow, Jr. and the late Bertharine George Furlow. He was the youngest of four children

He graduated from R.B. Hudson High School in 1969 and McKendree University in 1995, respectively. On July 3, 1976, he married the former Vennice Webb of Selma, AL, and to this union one child was born, Stuart Lawrence Furlow.

In 1970, he joined the United States Army as an Administrative Specialist and retired after 22 years of service as a Court Reporter. After retiring from the military he worked 20 years for the Veterans Administration before retiring in 2012.

He leaves a loving family to celebrate his life and to carry on the legacy of his charismatic personality; a loved and cherished son, Stuart Lawrence Furlow; father, Charles Furlow, Jr. (Sue); aunt, Agnes Furlow Hatcher; sisters, Gloria Furlow Smith (Charles) and Agnes Maria Furlow; brother, Charles Hamilton Furlow (Doris); nephews, Edward Smith, Jr., and Muraguri Kariuki; nieces, Sadira Furlow and Chaina Smith; great-nephew, Arman Smith; a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation is Tuesday, July 9, 2013, 5:00 – 8:00pm. Percell Funeral Home, Elizabethtown, KY.

Burial is Wednesday, July 10, 2013, 11:00am. Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central.
