MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Hammermill® has been a trusted American-made brand for more than 100 years and is celebrating that rich history with an advertisement campaign featuring employees who make Hammermill paper and the consumers who use it.

The campaign launched Thursday to coincide with celebrations of patriotism and pride happening across the country during Independence Day.

“We’re proud to be the only brand of paper that has been made in America for over 100 years and this campaign is a celebration of our employees and customers for making that possible,” Hammermill Brand manager Tracy Burke.

The campaign comes on the heels of recent reports showing the “Made in America” label is an important attribute affecting consumer spending in the current US market.

The campaign will be promoted through print, web and social media and feature International Paper employees in addition to Hammermill products and actual end-users of Hammermill paper.

The “Made in America” theme comes to life through employee features such as International Paper plant manager, Andre McBride and Hammermill product end user and bestselling author, Bonnie Low-Kramen. In addition, the campaign includes an updated packaging seal that proclaims “100 Years of Quality” displayed on a red, white and blue background, with the phrase “Made in USA” underneath.

International Paper Riverdale Mill, Dallas County’s largest employer, is one of four International Paper locations responsible for making Hammermill products. Hammermill products produced at the Riverdale Mill include Hammermill Tidal; Copyplus; Great White (30, 50 and 100 percent recycle grades); 20# Fore MP; 24# Fore MP; Hammermill Premium 97 Bright; Hammermill Ultra 10% Recycle; and Hammermill Ink Jet 24#.

“Employees at the Riverdale Mill represent the pride and precision that goes into producing Hammermill’s premium quality paper products,” Riverdale Mill manager Jim Bruce said.
