Sgt. Steve Jarrett of the Alabama Department of Public Safety said, “Enoch Whatley, 55, was killed when the 1991 Acura Integra that he was driving left the roadway and overturned into a pond.”

Jarrett said the crash occurred at approximately 4 a.m. on Mary Jackson Road, 3 miles south of White Hall.

“Whatley was not wearing a seat belt,” Jarrett said.
