Myrtle Lee Smith, age 89, of Minter, AL, was born in Pletcher, AL on July 10, 1923 and passed away June 11, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis D. Smith; parents, William C. and Winifred Crane Smith and brother, Carlos Renfroe Smith.

She is survived by her son, Odis E. (Judy) Smith; daughter, Carolyn Smith (Johnny) Hamm; brother, John E. Smith; grandchildren, Tina Smith (Brig) Bearden, Dawn Smith (Bojie) Beers, Pam Smith (Steve) Fulmer, Kim Hamm (Shannon) Kroymann, Amy Hamm (Eric) Haugen and Drew (Lisa) Hamm and great-grandchildren, Kaylee Bearden, Madison Bearden, Ben Beers IV, Mac Beers, Wes Fulmer, Reed Fulmer, Mary Carolyn Haugen and Anna Drew Haugen and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Coats officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Brig Bearden, Bojie Beers, Steve Fulmer, Drew Hamm, Shannon Kroymann and Eric Haugen. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Warren Manor Nursing Home and the doctors and nurses at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.
