Edward Carol Hughey, Sr., Age 77, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Julia Hughey; daughters: Anita Hughey of Alabaster, Rita Jennings (Danny) of Selma; son: Edward Hughey, Jr.(Tracie) of Sylacauga; grandchildren: Mallory Jennings, Daniel Jennings, Graham Hughey, Lily Hughey; sister: Camille Salter (Gary) brother: Willard Hughey (Cordelia) and uncle: Thomas Nichols (Dorothy) of Marion.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday May 17, 2013 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Cory Horton officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be; Jimmy Ellison, Larry Palmer, Bud Nason, Buddy Stone, Johnny Jones, Charles Ellis, Billy Bennett, Howell Stone, Jack Burnside, Allen Watters, Allen Williams, members of Hilliard Rush Sunday School Class and Downtowner coffee club members
