Mrs. Alice Irby, 85, resident of Selma, passed away April 22, 2012 at Vaughan Regional. Services will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at shady Grove Church officiated by Rev. Christopher Wright. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory gardens directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

She is preceded in death by husband, Jake Irby II; mother, Leola Jackson; brother, James Jackson, Leon Jackson; sister, Mary Lester Jackson; Miller Pearl Turner, and Etta Becton.

Survivors include sons, Jake Irby III, Catee McNeal Irby, and Leroy Irby; daughters, Ernestine Davis, Dorothy Robinson, Luvernia Willoughby, Elnora Dower, and Janice Beck; sister, Lula Mae Nettles; twenty grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, host of great-great grandchildren, five sons-in-laws, two daughters-in-laws, two brothers-in-laws, three sisters-in-laws, sixteen nieces, and eight nephews.
