Rev. Eugene Holmes, 55, resident of Selma, resident of Selma, passed away February 9, 2013 at Vaughan Regional Hospital. Services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Aimwell Baptist Church, Safford, AL, officiated by Rev. Irby. Burial will follow in Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, AL directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include parent, Rose Mary Holmes; eight brothers, Freddie Lee Holmes, Bernard Holmes, Reginald Holmes, Marvin Holmes, Roosevelt Holmes, Robin Holmes, David Holmes, and Anthony Holmes; two sisters, Willie Ann Jackson and Brenda Holmes Taylor; a host of nieces and nephews.
