Willie “Big Sam” Hatcher
Published 8:59am Thursday, January 31, 2013Mr. Willie “Big Sam” Hatcher, 86, resident of Selma, passed away January 29, 2013 at Warren Manor Nursing Facility. Services are scheduled for Sunday, February 3, 2013, 1:30 p.m. at Miller Funeral Chapel, Selma, officiated by Rev. Gregory C. Williams. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.
Survivors include four sons, Willie (Emma Jean) Bowie, David Bowie, Isaac (Shirley) Bowie, and Michael W. Hatcher; six daughters, Francis Bowie, Emmaline Steele, Ethel M. Bowie, Mary Ann Munford, Dollie McNeal, and Ora Wilkins; twenty five grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
