Barnette Renee (Lewis) Hayes, 61, resident of Selma, passed away January 13, 2013 in Selma. Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 19, 2013, 12:00 p.m. at Tabernacle of Praise Church officiated by Rev. Ernest Wright. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by father Morgan Lewis, Sr. and mother, Mable Thomas Lewis.

Survivors include spouse Michael Hayes of Selma; daughter, Maya Hayes Demonbreum of Nashville, TN.; brothers, Marvin Thomas and Morgan Lewis, Jr., both of Selma; sisters, Sarah Ann Lewis of New Orleans, LA, Jacquelyn Mims of Muscle Shoals, AL, Rosemary Brooks of New Orleans, LA, Janice McCall of Garland, TX, Pamela Caldwell of Killeen, TX., and Towanda Arnold of Macon, GA.; a host of nieces and nephews.
