Joe H. Spivey

Services for Joe H. Spivey, age 75 of Selma, AL will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, January 12, 2013 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Spivey was born in Laurens County to the late John H. Spivey and the late Avis Stewart Spivey. He retired from BE&K Construction Company. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Spivey. Mr. Spivey passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Moseley of Selma, AL; son, “Little” Joe Spivey of Gallatin, TN; daughter, Dana Robertson of Selma, AL; brothers, Don Spivey and Hugh (Carolyn) Spivey, both of Dublin and Ray (Lonnie L.) Spivey; granddaughters, Amanda Spivey, Hailey Spivey and Kiersten Robertson, all of Selma, AL and grandson, Cole Robertson of Selma, AL.

Pallbearers will be Gene Branch, Jerry Register, Steve Spivey, Timmy Spivey, Lynn Spivey and Stewart Spivey.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home in Dublin, GA. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Budget Inn, 329 Highland Ave., Selma, AL 36701.
