Mrs. Velma Simpson, resident of Selma, Alabama, passed away December 30, 2012 in Selma. Services are scheduled for Thursday, January 10, 2013, 12:00 noon at Miller Funeral Chapel officiated by Bro. A. Fuller. Burial will follow in New Shiloh Cemetery, Sardis, AL, directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include son, Ulysses C. blunt, Sr.; brothers, Calvin (Ora Nell) Calhoun, George Calhoun, David (Leola) Calhoun, Eddie (Verdell) Calhoun; sisters, Geneva C. Lewis, Lucy (Walter) Williams, Pearlie Fails, and Annette (Larry) Watson; seven grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
