William H. Cleveland Sr., age 87, of Gulfport, MS, died December 21, 2012 at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Tuscaloosa, AL with Rev. Jimmy Garner officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.     He was preceded in death by his wife Nellie C. Cleveland and his parents Jackson and Columbia Cleveland.

Survivors include his daughter, Roslan Jones and her husband Ralph Jordan; his son Bill Cleveland and his wife Carol; his grandchildren, William Terrell Jones, Darryl Cleveland Jones, Jared Ryan Cleveland and Mandy Joyel Burns, his great grandchildren, Payton Jones, Cleveland Burns, Jackson Cleveland, Thomas Burns and Cole Cleveland; he also is survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Cleveland was a very patriotic man who was a career soldier in the Army and served his country with pride and selflessness.

Honorary pallbearers are the staff of the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport.
