Archie L. George, 58, resident of Selma, passed away December 1, 2012 at Jackson Hospital, Montgomery, AL,. Services will be held December 8, 2012, 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist church officiated by Rev. Eugene Bennett. The body will lie in state 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in church cemetery directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

Survivors include three step sons Alvin Beal, Alfred Beal, and Bryant Beal, three daughters, Laquanda George, Shenetta George, and Janet Pop; two stepdaughters, Rosalind Beal , Shermanita (Stephen) Walker; three brothers, Johnny Cole, Jonathan Alexander, and Phillip Alexander; eight sisters, Lucille Cole, Mary F. Johnson, Elizabeth Custard, Mary Burse, Mary Watts, Joyce (Terry) Hunkton, Thelma Jones, and Jessie Fleming. Other realtives include numerous nephews, nieces, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, cousins; two aunts Lucille Cole and Clara Cole.
