Parade brings joy to entire city

The annual Christmas parade has come and gone, and we would like to congratulate the city and everyone who attended the parade on another successful and festive beginning to the holiday season.

Without a dedicated set of leaders, the parade would not have been as great as it was.

Between the floats, caroling, music and lighting of the city Christmas tree outside City Hall, we couldn’t have asked for a better way to ring in the month of December.

For a few hours, a feeling of joy and togetherness radiated througout the city. We hope this special feeling doesn’t end with the holiday season, but carries throughout the year.

We are blessed to live in a city that places importance on camaraderie and fellowship.

After the parade, residents continued the festive feeling by singing carols outside City Hall while Mayor George Evans lit the city Christmas tree

Residents old and young stood together and marveled in everything that’s great about Selma.

During this holiday season, we should remember everything that makes our city a great place to work and live.

We’ve seen immense growth in the past several months, and our progress is only strengthening. It’s events like the Christmas parade that showcase how strong our city is. We are excited for what this holiday season holds.
