John Marvin “Johnny” Williams

John Marvin “Johnny” Williams, age 74 of Selma, passed away on November 28, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Autauga County on October 18, 1938; the son of the late William Alfis “WA” Williams, Sr. and the late Antionette Marie Kynard Williams.

He was a warehouse supervisor.

He is survived by: Wife, Ruby Nell Williams of Selma; Daughter, Teresa (Tommy) Hoggle of Destin, FL; Son, Keith (Lanae) Williams of Selma; Granddaughter, Amanda (Lane) Channell of Helena; Granddaughter, Taylor Williams of Selma; Great Grandchildren, Wes Macdanal and Hailey Channell of Helena; Special Granddaughters, Ashlyn Campbell and Katie Haffner; Sister, Alama (Alvis) Shirley of Birmingham; Sister, Jean (OL) Wells of Clanton; Brother, Russell (Audrey) Williams of Selma; Brother, Douglas (Betty) Williams of Clanton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: Parents, WA Sr. and Antionette Marie Kynard Williams; Brother, WA Williams, Jr.; and Brother, Dean Williams.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 2:00pm from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Squires and Bro. Terry L. Johnson officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.

Burial will follow in the Sunshine Assembly of God Church Cemetery in Clanton.

The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions in Johnny’s memory be made to the University of Alabama Scholarship Foundation or the American Lung Association.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home of Clanton.
