Claire LaPointe Rives Bowman, 81, resident of Holiday, FL. (Tampa, FL. area),formerly of Selma, passed away November 3, 2012. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Bowman Hart of Palm Harbor, FL., Linda Bowman Rester of Selma, AL; sisters, Margie Lindsey of Savannah , GA. Theus Davis of Demopolis, AL, Elizabeth (Scarlett) Easters of Selma, AL; brother, James (Eddie) Langford of Tampa, FL; grandsons, Christopher Hart of Holiday, FL.and Matthew Rester of Selma, AL; great grandson, Jackson Hart of Holiday, FL; step great granddaughter, Alyce Thomley of Land ‘O Lakes, FL., and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Marjorie Berry Rives Gennell and Thomas James Rives; sisters, Barbara Hardy , Betty Winters, and Martha Johnson.

She is a descendent of an old Dallas County Pioneer Family and a 1949 graduate of Albert G. Parrish High School.
