Graveside service for Miriam W. Ezell, 76, of Auburn is 3 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Auburn. Reverend Steve Scoggins is officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 12 – 2:30 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home prior to the graveside service. Mrs. Ezell was born March 24, 1936 in Selma. She passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at East Alabama Medical Center following a short illness. Mrs. Ezell had lived in Auburn since 1967. She worked as secretary of Parkway Baptist Church in Auburn for 15 years. She and Sam were active members of First Baptist Church in Opelika. Mrs. Ezell also served on the Auxiliary of East Alabama Medical Center for 10 years. Miriam was an avid Auburn fan and held season tickets to all games. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elbert Williams and parents, Marvin and Ola Mae Seals Day of Selma. Survivors include her husband, Sam Ezell of Auburn; son, Mark (Kim) Williams of Opelika; two grandchildren, Nicole Marie (Joshua) Murphy of Mobile, Joshua Michael Williams of Auburn; and great grandchild, Caleb Taylor Murphy. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a favorite charity. Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home & Crematory is directing.
