This time of year is marked by the annual United Way campaign. The 2012 campaign has received an amazing kickoff thanks to the employees of the International Paper Riverdale Mill.

Mill employees finished the campaign raising $99,579. When combined with the $0.60 on the dollar match provided by International Paper, the overall amount raised by Riverdale came to $159,312.

“I’d like to thank everyone who contributed to United Way this year,” Riverdale Mill manager Jim Bruce said. “The local organizations depend on the generosity of our community giving to be able to do their vitally important work.”
