Mr. John B. Ford, 71, resident of Plantersville, Alabama, passed away October 8, 2012 at Noland Health Services, Montgomery. Services are scheduled for October 13, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Phillip Grove Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Kirk Ellison. Burial will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include spouse Emma Ford; son, John D. Ford; daughters, Erica L. Cook and Althea Thomas; five brothers, Will T. Ford, Thomas Ford, Clinton Ford, Franklyn R. Ford, and Arthur Lee Ford; four sisters, Dorothy Jackson, Essie Lockhart, Mary Kathy Cook, and Glinda Faye Ford; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, five brothers-in-laws, seven sisters-in-laws; aunt Margaret Morrow; a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The body will lie in state 10:00 -11:00 a.m.
