Preparing for the Central Alabama Fair

The 56th annual Central Alabama Fair is almost upon us. The Lions Club always does a fantastic job of organizing and orchestrating the fair, and we are confident that this year will be no different.

With the promise of cotton candy, funnel cakes, candy apples and the famous cozy dogs awaiting us, we are already counting down the days until the fair opens to the public.

This year the Central Alabama Fair will open Monday, Oct. 1 and stay open through Saturday, Oct. 6. Not only will the fair bring us the carnival food staples we hate to love, it will also bring us various forms of entertainment.

Once again, the Lions Club did not disappoint with the line up for this year’s Central Alabama Fair. There will be rides for all ages, Central Alabama Fair pageants, a sing-off, and more.

Certain days have even been designated for specific age groups like, youth night on Monday and kids day on Wednesday where the gates will open three hours early. If you’re on a budget, you’re defiantly going to want to check out the Central Alabama Fair on Thursday, because there will be reduced prices on ride tickets.

So much fun is just waiting to be had at this year’s Central Alabama Fair, thanks to the hard work from the members of the Lions Club.

So thank you Lions Club, we look forward to singing, dancing, riding rides, and eating as much delicious carnival food we can get our hands on.
