Atlanta-based Channel 2 Action News reports Guthridge confessed to stabbing her mother because her mother was evicting her. Court papers show Guthridge was upset about the eviction and said her mother knew she was moving into the house rent-free and unemployed.

Guthridge has been arrested at least twice prior to Monday night, including at least once locally. In 2009, she was charged with two counts of theft and receiving stolen property and booked in Georgia.

Two years later, she was charged with domestic violence in the third degree, criminal mischief in the first degree, attempted arson in the first degree and resisting arrest and booked in the Dallas County Jail.

She remains in the Clayton County Jail, awaiting a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 19 and a bond hearing on June 29.
