As the Selma University Lady Bulldogs prepare to chase a national title, they want to make sure every player can share in the experience.

After the Lady Bulldogs (18-8) were selected to play in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship Tournament in Uniontown, Pa., the reality set in that enough funds were only available to take 10 of the team’s 14 players on the trip.

“We learned that we were going to be limited in terms of the number of players that we could take to Pennsylvania to compete in the national championship,” Rembert said, “and the girls really wanted their teammates to come along with them. They really desired this to be a collaborative effort and they really wanted the support and comfort of everyone going with them. They really wanted this to be a team thing.”
