Bulls and broncs will be kicking up dust Saturday and cowboys and cowgirls will again be holding on tight as they try to ride their way to Texas and Oklahoma for national competitions.

The chutes will again open with glory on the line at the Dallas County Horse Arena on Valley Creek Road when Jimmy and Pam Boswell present the second Alabama Junior Bull Riders Association Bulls and Barrels event Feb. 11 at 7 p.m.

This week, Jimmy said he encourages anyone looking for an exciting way to spend their Saturday night to check out the local talent.

“They need to fill the seats this time because it will be the second one of the year,” he said. “We’re going to do one a month all the way to October, and we will have our finals then. We have a lot of kids that have qualified to go to Texas already, and a lot of them are trying to qualify to go to Oklahoma in November.”
