The Ellwood Christian Academy Lady Eagles kept it close early, but could not hold on, as they fell 60-32 to the Chambers Academy Rebels on their home floor in AISA regional tournament play Friday. Towanna Clay, head coach of the Lady Eagles (1-17), said she continues to see improvement from her young team, and they’re going to continue to work hard moving forward.

“Slowly, but surely, things are getting better,” Clay said. “There’s much, much improvement and the girls are maturing, learning the game. We’re just going to continue to work hard and play hard.”
