Wednesday’s grand opening marked the realization of a dream for Loretta Jones, owner of Loretta’s Classic Cuts and Gift Shop.
For 23 years, Jones has been cutting hair, but this is the first time she will have her own place.
Before opening her 912 Highland Ave. store, Jones said she was cutting hair at another local salon.
“I worked for Head Start for 17 years to begin with before it was sold,” she said.
Jones said she had also worked in other salons, but always dreamed of owning her own.
