Dear editor,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank some very important people. We appreciate everyone that took part in making our Buddy Poppy drive a success.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3016 would like to thank the Stores that allowed us to stand in front of their establishments to give out Buddy Poppies for donations;

Wal-Mart, Winn Dixie Highland Ave. Winn Dixie/ Dallas Avenue, Selma Curb Market, June Bugs, CVS, and  The Treasure Box.

The success of our drive would not have been possible if it had not been for the JR.R.O.T.C. from Selma High School and the JR. R.O.T.C. from Southside High School.

The Cadets were both friendly and responsible. They worked very hard and did a great job. But most of all we want to thank the community.

With the help of the generous people of our community we raised over $1000.00. This money will go into the Relief fund for the Veterans of Foreign Wars. We owe our veterans for so many of our freedoms today.

This is just a little way to give back to them.  Again we would like to thank everyone who took part, no matter how small.
