The concert, sponsored by the Selma Community Concert Association, will feature the 36-member show choir that has performed in Romania, Guatemala, Czech Republic, San Francisco, Denver, Co., Nashville and New York City to name a few.

Myrna Morrow, Selma Community Concert Association representative, said the troupe is in high demand.

“They’ve performed for television specials, conventions, community concerts and campus events,” Morrow said. “They performed in Opryland in Nashville, the President’s Park in Washington, D.C., and the Rockefeller Center in New York City. We’re just really excited about them coming.”

The AU Singers have performed music ranging from Michael Jackson to Van Halen to The Beach Boys.

Jordan Lee Spencer, Auburn Singer and Auburn University’s 2010-11 homecoming queen, said the group is excited to come to Selma.

“We can’t wait to sing,” Spencer said. “The songs will be energetic and something everyone can enjoy.”

Starla Spencer, Jordan’s mother, said the group’s chemistry on stage is undeniable.

“They sing so well together,” Starla said. “They’re all really close.”

Tickets for the show are $20 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets can be purchased from the Selma-Dallas County Public Library, Selma-Dallas County Chamber of Commerce, Butler-Truax Jewelers or any Community Concert Board member.
