When last seen, Webster was wearing a red shirt and dark pants. Anyone with information about this shooting should call 874-2120 or the secret witness line at 874-2190.

Fourth Judicial Circuit District Attorney Michael Jackson agrees with the police department’s assessment.

“He just shot somebody,” Jackson said Tuesday. “He should be considered armed and dangerous.”

But that’s not all. Webster has a history of violence, according to court records.

He is listed on the Alabama Department of Public Safety Community Information Center’s website as a registered sex offender.

Webster was convicted in March 2008 of second-degree rape of a 14-year-old female out of Dallas County Circuit Court. His last address was verified as 1512 LeGrande St., Apt. C, Selma, in March 2010.

His profile lists him as having no aliases or tattoos or other identifying marks.

Court records show Webster as appearing in court in August 2008, charged with first-degree possession of marijuana. He was placed under $15,000 bond and his case turned over to a Dallas County grand jury.

Jackson said Webster was on probation at the time and records from his office show his probation was revoked, “but it doesn’t say what happened.”

In May 2010, Webster also was arrested by Selma police officers and charged with domestic violence, harassment and criminal trespass. He was released from the Dallas County Jail on $1,000.

Selma Municipal Court records show Webster was found guilty on the domestic violence and harassment charge and not guilty to the criminal trespass. The record did not indicate if Webster was fined or served time in jail.
