Selma High School Saints (2-1) beat Wilcox Central  54-0.
“I think our guys played very hard and bounced back from last week’s loss,” said Leroy Miles, Selma High’s head coach. “They convinced me that they can bounce back up and forget the loss.”
Kennan Woods rushed 115 yards for three touchdowns, Jesse Harris rushed one yard for one touchdown and caught two touchdown passes, Alex Burton rushed one touchdown and Kennan Robinson rushed one touchdown.
The score at the first half was 33-0 for Selma.
Jesse Harris played quarterback this game as Darion Alexander recovers from bruises suffered during a car wreck.
“I think Jesse did an excellent job in leading his team to victory,” Miles said.
Miles expects Alexander to be ready to play next week but will continue to have him take it easy this week.
“We just want to hold him out of contact until next week,” Miles said.
The Saints will return home to play Tuscaloosa Academy on Sept. 17.
