Maj. Edward Charles Peter III and Elizabeth Kennedy Douglas

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Franklin Douglas, Jr. of Prattville, Alabama are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Elizabeth Kennedy to Major Edward Charles Peters II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Scott Huffman of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Charles Peters of Valparaiso, Florida.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Clarence Cecil Randall of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Mrs. Robert Franklin Douglas and the late Mr. Robert Franklin Douglas of Selma, Alabama.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Beatriz Romo of Dover, Ohio and the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Lada Peters of Los Angeles, California.

Miss Douglas received a doctorate degree in veterinary medicine magna cum laude from Auburn University and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She is employed by Animal Medical Center in Anniston, Alabama.

Major Peters received a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida, a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas, and a master’s degree in military operational art and science at the Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. He is serving with the United States Air Force in Washington, D.C.

The couple will exchange vows on October 16, 2010 at six o’clock in the evening at First Presbyterian Church in Prattville, Alabama.
