Selma company gets street contract

SELMA — Tri-County Construction received a $358,540 contract for the reconstruction of J.L. Chestnut Boulevard.

Tri-County of Selma was the lowest bidder on the project.

The project would see reconstruction of J.L. Chestnut Boulevard from Martin Luther King Street to Lauderdale Street, Lauderdale Street to Union Street south and Union Street south to Lapsley.

The city received a stimulus grant of $500,000 for the street improvement project.
