Judson athletes honored

MARION — Three Judson College athletes received “Honorable Mention” in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association’s “Player of the Week” selections on Oct. 6.

Lauren Browning of Sylacauga was cited as “the freshman goal keeper from Judson Collegemade six saves to record her second shut out win of the season.”

Christina Carter of Hurley, Miss., was cited as “the freshman midfielder from Judson College recorded three goals in a victory over Copiah-Lincoln.”

And volleyball player Sarah Kendrick of Ocean Springs, Miss.,was cited as “the sophomore from Judson College helped her team by playing several positions in a match this week against Stillman College.”

Judson College works with the campus community to enhance the mission of liberal arts education for women.

Judson College is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.
