Bob Edd McKinney

Bob Edd McKinney, 74, of Plantersville, Ala., died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, at Vaughn Regional Bapt. Medical Center, Selma.

He was born on Friday, Oct. 14, 1932, in Chilton County, Ala., son of the late John Richard McKinney Sr. and the late Mary Harrison McKinney.

He was a salesman.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Anne McKinney of Plantersville; daughter, Susan (Tiger) Jones of Selma; son, Scott McKinney of Plantersviille; granddaughter, Reagan Smith of Birmingham; grandson, Michael Smith of Stanton; sister, Allene Lawley of Maplesville.

Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007 at Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Services will be held Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Rasberry officiating.

Interment will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery, Stanton, Alabama.

Elizabeth O. Hughes

Elizabeth died peacefully in Pensacola, Fla., on Sept. 19, 2007. She had lived in Pensacola, Fla., since 1988 and was born in Selma.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Hughes and sisters Annie, Dot, Ruth, and brothers, Wilbur, George, David and Murphy Massey.

Her memory will live on through her three daughters, Bernice Meyer, Geraldine Willbrand and Joan Jones, all in Pensacola, Fla., five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at New Live Oak Cemetery at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept.23, 2007, with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff and caregivers at Encore Senior Village and Emerald Coast Hospice in Pensacola Fla.

John Henry Edwards, 58, a resident of Dallas County passed Sept. 21, 2007. Final arrangements will be announced at a later date by J.H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home.

Louise J. Fowlkes, 66, of Selma died Sept. 21, 2007, at home.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at Rosehill Cemetery.
