Lonnie R. Nickles

Lonnie R.Nickles, 59, of Selma, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002 at his home.

Graveside services are at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Cambridge Christian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Otey Crisman III officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, &uot;Bill&uot; Sheehan Nickles of Selma; his mother, Arie E. Nickles of Orrville; daughter, Cynthia (David) N. Evans of Selma; brothers, Dock (Linda) Nickles of Selma and Larry (Alicia) Nickles of Orrville; uncle, Buck (Elnora) Nickles of Lake Eufala, Okla.; and two grandchildren, Rena Abigail Evans and William Langston Evans both of Selma.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Nickles and a brother, Emmett Nickles.

Active pallbearers are Jeffrey Nickles, Jason Nickles, Scott Little, Wayne Nickles, Tommy Poe and Ricky Huffman.

Honorary pallbearers are Mike Mills, Jackie Adcox, William Sheehan, Ronald Sheehan, Terry Sheehan and Bobby Roberts.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Lawrence Funeral Home and at Cambridge Christian Church on Saturday, from 9 – 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cambridge Christian

Church.

Culus Luttrell

Culus Luttrell, of Selma, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002 at a local hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, at the Chapel of J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. James Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with J.H. Williams and Sons Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his mother, Mary E. Cross of Selma; two daughters, Lecia Fuller and Connie Fuller of West Palm Beach, Fla.; one sister, Catherine Cross of Selma; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Active pallbearers are friends.

Katie Mae Blake

Katie Mae Blake, 51, of Pennsylvania, formerly of Dallas County, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002 in Pennsylvania.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at New Pernell Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Butler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband, Clinton Blake.

Warren Peyton Kynard

Lt. Co. Warren Peyton Kynard, 75, of Marion, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002 at a local hospital.

Services are at 12 noon Saturday, Sept. 28, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Marion, with the Rev. Walter Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the Kynard Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include one son, Abdul Khaliq Warren (Maria) Kynard of Richmond, Va.; one daughter, Roslyn Kynard of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Hoover L. (Rosie T.) Kynard; one sister, Ophelia (Charles) Townsel of Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews; and a lovely cousin, Nancy O. Kynard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Tyler L. and Leona Edmond Kynard.

Ernest Lee Jones

Ernest Lee Jones, 53, of Selma, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002 at a local hospital.

Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Chapel of Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the Isabel Cemetery in Tyler, with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include one daughter, Tina (Richard) Mendoza of Detroit, Mich.; two brothers, Auther Darnell Jones of Detroit, Mich., and Raymond Bailey of Kentucky; six grandchildren; one son-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews; special mother, Edna M. Steen Walton; and special cousin, Curtis Bailey.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Jones Sr. and one son, Ernest Lee Jones Jr.

Active pallbearers are Lorenzo Gordon, Willie Glover, Eugene Taylor, Waymon Crum, Curtis Bailey and Arnold Jeremy.

Emma Lee Peterson Jackson

Emma Lee Peterson Jackson, 92, of White Hall, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002 at her home.

Services are at 12 noon Saturday, Sept. 28, at Sellers Memorial Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in White Hall, with the Rev. Jesse J. Fountain officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery with Miller Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include seven sons, Matthew Jackson Jr., Willie F. Jackson Sr., James Jackson Sr., Leon (Mary) Jackson Sr., John (Katie) Jackson, Clifford (Ester) Jackson Sr. and Horace Jackson Sr.; three daughters, Dorothy J. Hinson, Ethel J. Williams and Annie B. Jackson; 26 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four daughters-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Active pallbearers are sons and grandsons.

Flowerbearers are granddaughters.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, at Sellers Memorial Christian Church.

Archie J. White

Archie J. White, 42, of Selma, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002 at his home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Miller Funeral Home.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Irby.
