Vivian R. Larson

Vivian R. Larson, 71, of Selma, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at a local hospital.

Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 13, at Pineview Cemetery with Dr. Jerry Smith and Russell Morrow officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Dean Larson of Selma; four daughters, Debra L. (Rusty) Travis of Valley Grande, Sherry K. (Johnny) Retherford of McDonough, Ga., Shelly R. Larson of Navarre, Fla., Lori A. (William) Rylee of Plantersville; one son, Gary D. (Heather) Larson of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Webb and Megan Travis of Valley Grande, Mallory and Skyler Pusch of Navarre, Fla., Troy Rylee of Plantesville, Vivian Grace, Gary Dean and Sarah Frances Larson of Tuscaloosa; one brother, Earl (Norma) Ollila of Belle Fourche, S.D.; one sister, Shirley (Clyde) Massie of Kennewick, Wash.; and special cousin, Maxine (Arnold) Syverts of Riverton, Wyo.; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, seven sister-in-law and six brothers-in-law.

Active pallbearers are Johnny Retherford, William Rylee, Rusty Travis, Webb Travis, Carl Larson and Gary A. Larson.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Christian Church, 1209 Selma Avenue, Selma, AL 36703.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Edna Ollila of South Dakota.

Mrs. Larson was a member of First Christian Church.

James King

James King, 86, of Selma, died Monday, June 2, 2003, at his home.

Services are 1 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Greater St. Paul M.B. Church with the Rev. J.C. Summers officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Bessie M. King; five sons, Jesse, James, Herman and Larry King and Eric Robinson; three daughters, Eliza Ann Gilmore, Bessie &uot;Helen&uot; Briscoe and Mary King-Batiste; three brothers, Timothy, Haris and John King; seven sisers, Mamie Daniels, Annie Mae Henderson, Savannah Oliver, Mary Scott, Ruth Thomas, Dorothy Lee King and Jessie Lee Hale; 30 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one son-in-law; daughter-in-law; four brothers-in-law; two daughters-in-law four brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Active pallbearers are Deacons of Greater St. Paul MB Church.

Honorary pallbearers are grandsons, Michael and Nelson Baptiste, Reginald and Kevin Briscoe, Erick, Tyrell, Walter, Paul, Antonio, Daunte, Marcus, Michael, Jamall, Tyrone, Dominick and Andrae King.

Family visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday, at Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

Mr. King was a deacon at Greater St. Paul MBC. He served in the Air Force 1952-1966, U.S. Army Corps 1942-1945. He was employed with B&H Electric Company.

Walter Cureton Sr.

Walter Cureton Sr., 85, died Monday, June 9, 2003 at a Selma hospital.

Services will be held Saturday, June 14, at Zion United Methodist Church in Marion. Burial will follow in Simpson Chapel Cemetery with Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.

Frances B. Caldwell

Frances B. Caldwell, of Selma, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at a local hospital.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Lawrence Funeral Home.

Dale Avin Ammons

Dale Avin &uot;Bud&uot; Ammons, 54, of Marion Junction, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003.

Graveside services are 3 p.m. Friday, June 13, at Pineview Cemetery with the Rev. Rod Rochester officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Gibson of Marion Jct.; two sons, Ronnie (Tammy) Ammons and Heath (Brandi) Ammons all of Hartselle; one daughter, Sherry Ammons of Bowling Green, Ky.; one brother, William L. (Naney) Ammons of Selma; one sister, Brenda (Don) Meeks of Marion Jct.; and 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Ammons was preceded in death by his father, Lester A. Ammons and mother, Sadie Lee Sellers, and a brother, Cleve L. Ammons.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at Selma Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers are Britt Steward, Steve Rainwater, Gordon Kendricks, Jimmy Akins, Les Ammons and Scott Ammons.

Pearlie Tabb

Pearlie Tabb, 88, of Marion, died Thursday, June 5, 2003, at her home.

Services were held Wednesday, June 11, at Greenleaf Baptist Church in Marion with the Rev. Clifford Coleman officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.

Janese S. Billingsley

Janese S. Billingsley, 29, of Centreville, died Saturday, June, 7, 2003, at her home.

Services will be Saturday, June 14, at Shiloh Baptist Church, Centreville, with the Rev. James McBride and the Rev. Tracy Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Sandy Cemetery, Centreville, with Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.
